The event will take place during the Romanian Days section (June 6-8) and it’s the first step of a larger initiative which aims to create and discuss, implement new models of distribution, focus on exhibition market in the Central European Initiative’s region- CEI (Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe) and also on postproduction services. It intends to work as a promotion platform for postproduction resources and services in the CEI and Black Sea region. This platform will also be an opportunity for those filmmakers being in the final stage of their production, as to find and access several options for completing their work and find a distributor for their film in the participants countries.
This roundtable aims to offer a discussion framework for relevant national/regional film professionals from CEI countries and Black Sea region with a particular purpose of developing a new and innovative trans-national business model for the film industry in this area. The following issues will be addressed: crowd funding, post-production services in the region, the circulation of the films in the region and outside, new technologies available and concrete studies on co-productions in the CEI region.
