Fellini’s extraordinary world comes to life through the lens of photographer Paul Ronald, who captured sparkling moments on the set of 8 ½. Being the film’s official photographer, he recorded, through several thousand stills, the life and light of the set. The maestro Fellini himself, incredible yet very casual Marcello Mastroianni, audacious Claudia Cardinale, all shed their light and give a behind-the-scenes look on cinema.
Paul Ronald offered Antonio Maraldi, responsible for the Centro Cinema Città di Cesena, numerous photographs taken on the set of Fellini’s 8 ½ (1963), which remained unpublished for decades, until they took the shape of the current exhibition, curated by Maraldi himself. An exhibition dedicated to the craftsman of light and dreams. Fellini.
The exhibition is presented at the Art Museum of Cluj-Napoca, as part of the Close-up Federico Fellini dedicated by the Transilvania International Film Festival to the centenary of the great Italian director.
In partnership with the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Romania and the Honorary Consulate of the Italian Republic in Cluj-Napoca.
