The ninth edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) is bringing a series of special event-screenings to Cluj, destined to entertain an increasing number of spectators.
Our outstanding series of screenings start on Saturday, the 29th of May, with the opening gala feature Caravana Cinematografică / Kino Caravan, directed by Titus Muntean.
The second feature of Titus Muntean, after his acclaimed debut with Examen, the Kino Caravan is a film based on the novel with the same title of Ioan Groşan and it tells the story of Tavi, a young political activist who is coming with a kino caravan in an isolated village from Transylvania, in order to screen Russian propagandistic films. It is the first assignment the party has given to him and he is doing his best to positively accomplish it, although he has to deal with a genuine lack of interest amongst the villagers.
The film will be screened at Cinema Republica, 18:00 h, in the presence of the director Titus Muntean, of the actors Dorian Boguţă and Iulia Lumânare and of the filming crew.
